My first stay at this hotel. Living locally, attended historical talk in West Looe, but knowing my trains probably will be cancelled because of weather conditions, I booked single room in advance. When I came, Sammy, the owner, greeted me warmly and led to the top floor, where the double room was located (he gave me more spacious room, better than one I booked, which was unexpected surprise!). Very nice room, indeed - large window providing beautiful views over the bridge and river. Exceptionally clean, room and bathroom decorated in calming but good colour scheme, grey in tiles matches the grey line in towels etc. Small nice TV, tea and coffee making facilities in good standard, I liked the touch of homely feel - sugar cubes, bottled water. Table watch with light and alarm on bedside table. Even Bible in the drawer! Hangers instead of wardrobe, extra pillows, soap, shower gel, hand wash liquid, glass coasters - everything you need. Not much of traffic noise in the evening. I had good sleep and big cooked breakfast (5 options available , plus fruit, yoghurt etc). Definitely will stay again!

The location was excellent, the hosts were friendly and very helpful. It's an older property with steep steps to access the entrance with luggage, which may be difficult for some guests. However, the room was very clean, had everything we needed, excellent WiFi, tea/coffee, hairdryer etc. Breakfast was lovely, and all the kitchen/serving staff were wonderful, particularly the lady who served us at the table. My daughter is a fussy eater and she made her feel at ease and even offered another guest a sausage for their dog!! Just lovely! Simple to book, excellent communication from the hosts about parking etc. Shame they couldn't fix the weather for us though 🤣

Sammy is great host, very friendly and breakfast was very tasty. The room really was with a great view, overlooking the bridge and river. Really enjoyed sitting in window aisle and looking as the dusk falls and city lights turn on, illuminating the river and yachts. Although the guest house is located in center of city, it was very calm throughout the night. And no noise from neighbors also. A cosy place where to get much needed rest.

Great location, great room - admittedly to back of hotel facing the cliff but not a problem. Breakfast was fantastic served by a very welcoming staff member. Maybe it was us and our aging backs but we unfortunately did not find the bed comfy (mattress was a little soft and warped). Room 5. Our daughters single room, facing the estuary (Room 4), was just fine. Thank you

Very friendly and attentive staff who gave the impression that nothing was too much trouble. Perfect location given that we arrived by train and didn't wish to be in the heart of the town. Breakfast freshly cooked and all to order. There was never a feeling of being rushed and the whole stay was as relaxing as we could have wished for.
